We are Pittsburgh's Only Professional Certified Bike Fitter
Why do you want to have the right bike fit? You wouldn't drive a car that someone else has driven without first adjusting the car seat for the right fit. A bike is no different. You need the right fit for the best performance and comfort!
We've been certified through the Serotta Bike Fitting School and through the Fit Insitute Slow Twitch (F.I.S.T).
There is a specific, measurable, precise way to ride a tri bike. It is not a universal position, but it is the typical position chosen by the best athletes, just like there is a typical position for road racing. The efficacy of this position is measurable, and it is provable.
You will not only be totally satisfied with your new fit, you will leave with the knowledge to recognize and understand the reasons and benefits for proper position and posture on a bike. The more awareness and knowledge you have as an athlete about your equipment, the better your cycling experience will be.
There is no such thing as a "Quick Fit" at Trizilla. We believe every aspect of our fitting process is valuable and ensures the best fit for each individual athlete. All our fits begin with an extensive interview process and evaluation, which include a verbal interview and a physical assessment.
If we are to make you comfortable and efficient on your bike, we need to:
gather information about what your body is doing off the bike
discover what body "blue print" you bring to cycling
accommodate any injuries or asymmetries that you may have
identify your cycling goals short term and long term
be aware of any prescribed corrective devices or orthotics that you use
understand why you choose to ride a bike
comprehend your riding style and habits
measure your body’s range of motion as it relates to cycling
This is just a sample of the fifty plus questions and processes that we need to perform before we see you on the bike. Understanding your entire athletic profile allows us to better assess your needs as a cyclist and therefore accurately fit you on your bike.
